The Mystical World Of Mushrooms Captured In Photos

Most people consider mushrooms to be the small, ugly cousins of the plant kingdom, but theirs is surprisingly beautiful and wonderful world waiting to be explored. These beautiful mushrooms, captured by enthusiastic nature photographers, are a far cry from the ones you find in the woods or your local grocery store.

Most mushrooms, as we know them, are actually just the reproductive structure of the fungus they belong to – their fungal networks expand far further underground, and some fungi don’t even sprout the sort of mushrooms that we’re used to seeing. In fact, depending on your definition of “organism,” the largest living organism in the world is a fungus – there’s a honey mushroom colony in Oregon that occupies about 2,000 acres of land! Just because someone has more qualifications than you doesn’t mean they’re better than you. We live in the age of technology, so you can Google anything you don’t know how to do. The only thing you can’t Google is how to be creative and unique. Your thoughts have more value than a degree or a parent in the same field or whatever. I always think about my grandfather, who became an engineer with only a seventh grade education. It’s a very cliché thing to say, but nearly anything is possible if you set your mind to it.

I don’t know who a lot of my followers are and if you don’t find a way to connect with me I’m not going to add you, sorry, I have a short attention span and just like to have my friends on my dash. <3

People who talk shit are small and insecure.

Forget about them forever.

Focus on your success and positivity.

a performance piece where I take a dozen white roses and take apart their petals, then move to the thorns harvested from roses and put them into my arms and torso.

Music by King Woman

Reblogged from don't look at me
Hey friends,
I’ve been in hiding lately. Been recording non-stop since March, I needed a little break. My ears were starting to feel very fatigued and my health was poor.
I’m almost ready to get back to work. I’m coming up with so many new ideas and projects at the moment. I feel freshly inspired.
Here is an update:
The new King Woman release will probably be out around early February. We are putting it out through, in my opinion, one of the greatest labels in the world. It’s a full band release and I am beyond excited about it. I have a great band who I love very much. I can’t wait to start playing shows again!
People asking about releases, this is all I have right now:

I’m still working on my Miserable full-length and my good friend Evan (Grey Zine, Past Life) flew out from Brooklyn to be involved with that. I am recording with the coolest bad boi: MAX SENNA.
This release is possibly the saddest music I have ever written and I can’t lie, it fucked me up very badly. After this I think I am going to go in more of an upbeat direction as far as Miserable is concerned. Doing two projects that are both so heavy and sad is just too much for my soul and I need a balance.
This full-length will be released through The Native Sound.
I love The Native Sound and Julio has been a pleasure to work with. He is one of the first people who ever believed in me and I really admire and respect him. We are almost out of copies of Halloween Dream so if you still want it before we do a 2nd press:

My old split with Grey Zine:

News continued:
I met the love of my life when I went on tour in June, his name is Charles. We are posted up in West Oakland just having a good time. Got a new job. Getting ready for the King Woman release and a bunch of other cool stuff.
Things to clear up:
As far as all of the questions about Whirr, their new release, Pitchfork, why I left the band, how I feel about Whirr:
I think their new album is fantastic. I wish them well and have nothing else to say about the matter. So, unless you wish to be very annoying, please stop sending me mail asking me questions about things that are really none of your business. Thanks.

Also, creeps who stalk me online and send me weird mail: there is this little thing called Statcounter, look it up. Pay attention to your own life and stop wasting it observing, obsessing, or hating someone else and their life. What a sad and shitty way to live.

All of that being said:
Thanks for paying attention, sending sweet mail, encouraging me, and all of that. I’m in a constant battle with doubt and discouragement so it means a lot to me.
I’m looking to collaborate in various areas. I wan to start producing albums for musicians who need some help because I just love doing it.
I also need to find someone to design some stage clothing for King Woman. I want to collaborate with many artists, musicians, and photographers. Don’t be afraid to get in touch. Our connection is why I do this thing in the first place.

Things I live by:

You love someone? Tell them.

Don’t hold back encouragement because we all need it.

Don’t hold back compliments because they feel so good to give and they feel so good to get.

NEVER SETTLE

I think it’s very important not to settle when it comes to love. Who you choose to be with directly influences your life path. Something can look so grand on paper and still not be right for you. At times you have to make HARD and very uncomfortable decisions simply based on intuition, a pull that won’t leave you alone. Never settle for less. It’s always better to take a risk. You don’t want to look back and wonder what you could have had. Intuition is so real. It’s fine to be afraid but it isn’t fine to deny the small voice inside of you. In my personal opinion, it’s there for a reason.

I normally wouldn’t post this on Tumblr but maybe one of you needs to hear it.
